1st Day of First Grade

Oh, the joy of having time to paper scrapbook again! With working evenings and a bit of an addiction to digiscrapping....I just haven't made a page in quite a while. I did this page for the week's Variety Challenge (use pink ribbon on the lo) and the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast. Patterned paper by October Afternoon and Making Memories-Noteworthy. Thanks for looking.

Fourth of July Layout

Over at Splitcoaststampers, the week's variety challenge in the scrapbook challenge thread is to create your own lace cardstock using a craft/hobby knife. To make mine, I traced around the negative portion of chipboard. I am having trouble with my keyboard...everytime I push shift+p to make a capital...it launches my Media player...what the heck. Oh...in case you want to know...patterned paper is by Wild Asparagus-Confetti. Thanks for stopping by.

What Were You Thinking?

I made a scrapbook page from paper today...and I have lost my groove I must admit. Working with digital scrapbooking has me spoiled...don't like the color...recolor it...don't like the size of the photos or embellishments, re-size them. Well, I taped this all down and then decided it just wasn't the layout I wanted...but it was too late. So here is my page. Patterned paper- Scenic Route Grafton. This was for the Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge 6.

Journaling: RJ put on a show for me. Seriously, I have no idea what he was doing. It involved a spin or 2, throwing food (last photo on right) and then falling down. He is such a goof ball. June 2008."

Readin' With Dad, Scrapbook page

Thanks for stopping by. Yesterday I received my 4 layout kits in the mail from The Scrap Room. My mom gave me the kits for my Christmas and birthday presents...and in my opinion...it is a perfect gift. I am lovin' the bright and fun colors of the My Mind's Eye- Dream collection. Here is a page I did with the kit tonight. The stars, flourish, tags are all die cuts that came in the kit. Here is a helpful hint: take a scissors and cut off the evidence of a "punch-out" die cut. It will make your pages look much neater...or if you are too impatient (like me) sand the edges with sandpaper. Try sanding your photos, too...it is so much faster than matting all the photos with cardstock. Thanks for looking.
