My First Digital Page

My goal for 2008 is to learn how to do digital scrapbooking. I don't want to get rid of paper, and with dial-up...frankly I don't care to do to much more of digital scrapbooking. My friend Renata and I have been scouring the internet for digital freebies to try it out. She did her first page yesterday...and I thought it would take me a year to learn...guess not! This was a download that I have had for a while..I hope I credit it right: mlima_papersampler

On Sunday, Dec. 23rd I am hosting our family's Christmas party. There should be around 20 people I have plenty to do. Do you think I did much of anything? Um...yep...2 scrapbook pages and a card. The card was a CASE of Lisa Zappa's card...she's the Featured Stamper on SCS. Here is her card: Blooming with Happiness. The two scrapbook pages were done for the Scrapbook Diva challenges...Lizzie Anne design team handed out 5 challenges.

Somethin' to make you smile

My friend sent me a bunch of emails today...and this was a funny photo she sent. It made me chuckle...seeing as I live in Wisconsin...and most of the males in this area will be doing this very thing tonight. Have a great Friday!

Another Anna Wight Sketch card

Here is another Anna Wight sketch card. This card also fits the SCS Ways to Use it Challenge for the day...monochromatic cards. The trees are embossed in a very pretty glitter embossing it really shimmers. The trees are a stamp by Northwoods Rubber stamps and the snowflakes are a SU! set called Snowflakes. The kids grabbed and man-handled the card before I got a good photo of you can see the wrinkles...grrrr.

I made this card to send to a SCS and blogging friend. Her favorite color is purple and her comments on my projects always make me smile *wink. Thanks for looking!

Sweet Miss Daisy

Here is a card I made for Anna Wight's blog challenge...use her sketch as a starting point. If you haven't visited Anna's are in for a real treat! She is a crafter extraordinaire! Here is her blog: Sassy & Sweet.

For my card...I used some My Mind's Eye Bohemia double sided cardstock and the stamped image is from SU!'s Summer by the Sea and the sentiment is SU! Noteworthy. Thanks for looking!

Santa's Here...

and all he brought you was this stinkin' gift card!

That is what I am going to write on the inside of this tri-fold gift card holder. The technique I used is paper piecing and for his beard I used polyfill. The gift stamp is a $1 clear stamp set from Michael's (StudioG). Again I used that Angel Company stamp set...which I don't know the name of. Thanks for looking!

Here is a tri-fold gift card holder. The stamp set is a retired Angel Company stamp set (?). If someone knows the name of this set...let me know. I used Stickles on Rudolf's nose, bell, and the holly berries. Thanks for looking.

Delightful Child

Get inspired by Emilie Ahren...that was this week's Scrapbook Designer Diva challenge. Here is her layout: Sugar & Spice. I am having such a great time with this new challenge...trying on others' styles...just for a page.

My mom bought me 3 months of a scrapbook club subscription and after a lot of late night research I decided to try The Scrap_Room. I am lovin' all the fun papers, cardstocks, and embellishments. This page is in the Nov. kit...KI Memories Pop Culture patterned paper and softies. The stamp is a $1 set I found at Michaels...StudioG clear stamps. For the title I used American Crafts black vinyl Thickers. Thanks for looking!
