Birthday Pennant Banner

I have SO much scrapbook paper, tools, and doo-dads from my paper scrapbooking days, that I feel guilty for only doing digital scrapbooking pages. So....I decided that I am going to make an effort to use some of my supplies. I am invited to my aunt's 80th birthday party on Saturday, so I decided to whip up this birthday pennant banner.Detatils: Each one was cut from a sheet of 12x12 in. paper. I marked one edge at 3 in, 6 in, and 9 in. and the other end at 6 inches. I then took a ruler as a straight edge and connected the dots to create the triangle pennants. 3 pennants were created from each sheet. Then I took a foam brush and some paint and painted the edges. The left over bits I cut in 1in x 6 in strips and used a scallop punch from Stampin' Up to create the scalloped edge at the top of each one. I used my Crop-o-dile to put 2 holes to thread the ribbon through.

Supplies: All paper is by Crate Paper, ribbon is by Stampin' up (old...cranberry crisp days). The hearts are from Heidi Grace, the chipboard letters are Basic Grey and "C" is an "O" from Stampin Up' that I cut/modified, and paint is Making Memories.

Artist Challenge at Inspiration Lane

Although I have given up my designing gig, I haven't let go of all my responsibilities. One activity that I wanted to continue doing is the Artist Challenge HERE at Inspiration Lane.

Each month I find an inspirational artist, post a link to the artist's gallery, and we all find some inspiration to create at least one scrapbook layout or hybrid project.

The fun part of it for me is that I design a paper pack, or a mini-kit inspired by a piece from the featured artist...and give it away free! Find out how/where to pick up the free mini kit by visiting Inspiration Lane's challenge forum HERE.

Here is what inspired my piece (Betsy Thompson's Breakfast archival print)

Here is my layout:

Thanks for stopping by...have a wonderful day!

Heritage Digital Scrapbook layout

I was helping my dad organize some old photos and came across this one of my mom. My grandpa loved photography and had taken such wonderful photos of my mom as a youngster. It is such a blessing that I have some of these wonderful photos of Mom.

More digi layouts

One job I did keep (besides my "real job") is doing quality control at The Studio. I check kits and then if I love them...I make layouts using them. It is a great gig!

I created this layout using Moon Designs kit- I Love You Mommy. I took these photos the other day when my daughter, Kari, was watching cartoons. She happened to be in the one spot that sun was shining in. I used a template from the March 2010 Hawt Mama Templates.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Spring Brings Hope layout

Oh, the Spring Brings Hope charity collab turned out better than I ever expected. The designers did a FANTASTIC job. Here is a layout I created using the kit. Template by Traci Reed's CT (HawtMamas)...this template was Shannon's.

Thanks so much for stopping by and consider picking up Spring Brings Hope HERE...remember all the proceeds pay for medical expenses for a vibrant freshman in college diagnosed with cancer. Read about Jenna HERE on her CaringBridge site.

Layout Time

Now that my designing stint is done, I have time to scrap!

Here is a layout I created using Serene by RW's new kit- Little Wonder. I love the colors in this one. Template: Free Digital Templates by Lori.
