Weekend at the MN State Fair

So, I finally went to the MN State Fair for the first time in my life. I live about an hour straight east of the fairgrounds, but have never gone before. Sat. Ron (dh) worked at the USPS booth in the grandstand along with his sister, so my two kids and my niece and nephew hung out all afternoon there. It was SO crowded that it was difficult to really see anything, but we did eat foot long hot dogs, caramel popcorn, and ice cream. My niece and nephew raved about the fruit smoothies and the deep fried candy bar on a stick. The highlight of the day was my niece getting on the news-channel 9 at 6 p.m. She was sitting near the reporter and kinda just stuck her head into the view of the camera.
