Color challenge 129
Tonight I finally got a chance to get down the basement and make some cards. The first one was inspired by Michelle Boyer (who's blog I faithfully read!) I made it for a lady that participates in the challenges on SCS, but has been diagnosed with cancer...so I will send her this to let her know I am thinking of her and praying for her. Both cards use SU! cardstock...old olive, purely pomegranate, and pretty in pink. The stamp set I used was Autumn Leaves Flowers, SU! Fun Phrases, and Winged things. The ribbon is double-stitched pomegranate grosgrain from SU!. Each flower has a rhinestone in the center.
The second card card was for the technique lovers' challenge 131...to use versamark and emboss resist on the card. This was made from SU!'s Lovely as a Tree and Peaceful Wishes. The sentiment is SU!'s Small Script set. To make the "ticket" corners...since I don't own a ticket punch, I used a regular paper punch. I distressed the edge of the pretty in pink layer with a Heidi Swapp distressing tool.
Thanks for looking!
